How To Reach Puri

Jagannath Temple



Puri situated at eastern part of india, mainly on the Bay of Bengal. Puri is localy known as" Shrikhetra" and Lord Jagannath Temple is known as "BADADEULA". Many people visit here mainly
for religious purpose.


Puri is a popular city of Odissa. It is well connected with other cities of India.

By Air:


Puri does not have any airport. It is 60km from the domestic airport in Bhubaneswar. This airport is connected by air with flights to major citues, like- Calcutta, Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Ranchi. All major domestic airlines like-Jetlite, King fisher, Air Deccan have daily flights to/from Bhubaneswar. The nearest International airport is Kalkata.

By Train:


East coast railway which situeted in puri having direct express and super fast trains links with- Mumbai, Kolkata,Ahmedabad, Delhi, Tirupati etc.There are direct trains from Kolkata(Howrah) to Puri, like- Kolkata(Howrh) Puri Howrah express, Jagannath express.

Railway station of Puri located in about 1 km north of the city. After reach the station you can take a cycle
rickshaw or auto rickshaw to reach the hotel.

By Road:


Puri is well connected with other cities of India by roadway,mainly by bus service. There are direct buses for Kolkata and Visakhapattanam.The best way to go from Bhubaneswar to Puri is State Govt. buses, mini buses and tourist buses leaving from Bhubaneswar.They take 2 hours (approax) to reach Puri.There are also have the facility to reach Puriby private taxi, but they are more costlier.
