How To Reach Sundarban

Sundarban is located at southern Bangladesh and small part in eastern India. The name Sundarban can be literally translated as" Beautiful Forest", may be for Sundari trees. People visit here mainly to see Bengal Tiger, Mangrove forest and sundari trees for this reasons sundarban is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.



There are many way to reach Sundarban, like-

By Air:


The nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose airport that located in kolkata and it takes only 2 hours toreach Sundarban. Other cities connected with Sundarban by Kolkata airline.

By Rail:


The nearest railway of Sundarban is Canning and it is 48km away from Sundarban National Park.From Sealdah thereare several trains to reach this station.

By Road:


From Howrah or Esplaned, there are many buses for go to Sonakhali, Raidighi, Namkhana, Canning etc. There are also  have taxi facility from Kolkata to Sundarban. But they take 1000-1500/- to go there.
