How To Reach Fatepur Sikri

Fatepur Sikri is Worlds Heritage site and mostly visited tourist spots of India. It is one of the popular specimen of Mughal Dynasty. It is situated at Agra (37 km away),Uttarpredesh. It was previously known as "Vijaypur Sikari". Fatepur name was derived from city Fatehabad, 'Fateh' means "victorious". It was build by Akbar between 1569 to 1585. This place is visited by many tourist from India and Outside of India.

Attractions Of Fatepur Sikri : 

 

Buland Darwaaza : Bulaand Darwaaza was built by Akbar, is the first step to the famous Fatepur Sikri. It is also known as ''the gateway of magnificence''. The Darwaaza is 35 mt wide and 54 mt high. Red stonework and white marble tiles are used to construct this Palace. 

House Of The Turkish Sultana : It was the palace of Akbar's favorite wife, Sultana Ruqayya Begum. It was decorated by mirror tiles on it's walls and constructed in Turkish and Persian style. 

Diwan-e-Alam :   It is the place where emperor listening to the complains of peopler.  It is also known as the house of the people audience. 

Panch Mahal : It is one of the prominent palace of the fort. The Panch Mahal or five-stored palace was used by Akbar and his consorts. 

Other Attractions are Jodha Bai's Palace, Sheikh Chishti Tomb, Daulat Khana etc.
