How To Reach Kullu

Kullu or Kulu is a small town of Indian state Himachal Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the Beas river and it is the largest valley in Himachal pradesh. Kullu is famous for its marvelous land scapes, bresthtaking beauty. This valley is also very famous for its temples and majestic hills covered with deodar and pine forest. Kullu valley is sandwiched between Lower Himalayan, Greater Himalayan and Pir-Panjal.

Attractions Of Kullu :

1. Sultanpur Palace - The houses of this palace has some beautiful miniature paintings done in Kullu style. 

2. Bijli Mahadev Temple - The 20 m high temple located in Sultanpur. It has great religious significance. This temple is dedicated to 'Shiva-Linga'. 

3. Manikaran - Manikaranis famous for its hot sulphur springs, which are located near the Penal river. It believed that this is municipal properties.

4. Largi - It is located 34 km from Kullu, that known for its Scenic views and an excellent site for trout fishing. 

5.Akhara Bazar - It is one of the popular bazar of Kullu. It has a large number of shops, which sells a variety of showls, pattoos, gudmas, woolen cloth, puhlas and namdas or rugs. 

6. Kasol - Kasol is a open glade with clean white sand. It is also famous for trout fishing. 

7. Raison - It is a comping site  on the banks of River Beas. 

8. Jagatsukh - An ancient village, which was the first capital of Kullu. 

Other important Place :

Deo Tibba, Tabo Monastery, Kaisdhar, Jagannathi Devi Temple, Basheshwar Mahadev Temple, Rohtang Pass etc. 

Best Time To Visit :

The best time to visit here- March to November. But the peak time is May to July. Summer is the best season for trekking. If you only want to travel and simple enjoyment then avoid summer. 

How To Reach :

By Air - Nearest airport is Bhunter airport , 10 km aeay from Kullu. This is a busy and important airport which connected with many other places of India. After reach the airport you can hire a private taxi or local vehicle to reach your destination place. 

By Train - It is a hilly region, so there is no any railway station nearby or this place does not has rail service properly. There are train services from Delhi to Jogindernagar and Pattankot. From this stations you can easily get taxi or bus service to reach your booked hotel near Kullu. 

By Road - Many cabs or taxi or volvo buses are available from Delhi. The region is well connected with Ambala, Shimla, Dalhousie, Chandigarh etc. But the best tips for me is to avoid road way and reach by train or flight.
