Journey To Valley Of Flowers

Valley of flowers is a popular national park of India located in Uttarakhand state. This National park is in West Himalayas, famous for its charming mead land of alpine flowers. This park is also home for some extinct animal like- blue sheep, snow leopard, Asiatic black deer, musk deer, red fox, brown bear etc. Mythological legends believe that this is the place where Hanuman had collected the Sanjeevani buti for curing Lakshmana. The eye catching spectacles of this park is very famous to all of the tourist, like- beautiful waterfalls, majestic peaks, garden of beautiful flower etc.

Attraction of The Place : 

 

Mana: Mana is a popular place of Uttarakhand which lies next to the border of Tibet. Most of the people who visit Badrinath also come to see the village. 

Auli : It is another popular tourist spot of the place. This is situated 3050 mts above sea level. From this spot you can see the outstanding views of snow laden Himalayan range. 

Hemkund Sahib : The word Hemkund means 'Lake of Snow". It is loceted 4,329 mts above sea level. A star shaped Gurudwara located near this place and visited by thousands of people every month. 

Ghangaria : It is a scenic beauty of Uttarakhand and it is very easy to trek towards Hemkund Sahib from this place. It is 4 km away from Valley of flowers. 

Joshimath :  Joshimath is one of the sacred temples for Hindus. This temple is dedicated to the lord Badrinarayan. 

Badrinath : Badrinath is one of the famous holy place of India for Hindus. This temple is dedicated to the God Vishnu. 

Other Attractions are : Flora, Fauna, Govindghat, Kedarnath, Rafting, Trekking, Boatind etc.

The best time to visit the place is between July to September. Because during in this months this place is covered with snow and full of colorful blooms.

How To Reach : 

 

By Air :  The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun), located 320 km (approx) from the main city. This airport is well connected with other major cities of India, like New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kanpur, Kashmir etc. From the airport you can hire a taxi till Joshimath. Valley of flower is located 17 km away from the city. 

By Rail :  The nearest railway station is Rishikesh, located such a distance of 213 km from the place. This railway route is also well linked with other major cities of India. From the station you can easily hire a local transportation to reach Joshimath. Because there is no any process to reach valley of flowers directly. 

By Road : Valley of flowers is also well connected by road with other cities. Thus, people can take a private taxi pr a cab to reach Joshimath. From this place you can reach valley of flowers by trekking.
