Nainital is a popular hill station of Uttarakhand, India. The hill station located at an altitude of 2,084 mt approximately above the sea level. The word 'Nainital' is coming from 'Naini Lake' and 'tal' means 'lake'. The lake is pear shaped and surrounded by green mountains.The town is famous for it's pleasant climate and  various natural attractions. Actually Nainital is located in the Kumaon Region and popularly known as the "Lake District of India". This hill station is a famous tourist destination of India, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists every year. The magestic beauty of hills can makes you very amazing.

Naini Lake : Nainital comes from this lake. This lake is main attraction of Nainital. This beautiful lake is surrounded by seven magestic mountains. It offers you the facility of paddle boating. 

Snow View Point : This point is located at an altitude of 2,270 mt from the sea level. It is only 3 km away from the main city. This point can be easily reached by trekking or a comfortable taxi drive. 

Nanda Devi Temple : This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sati because according to mythological legends, the eye of Goddess Sati fell at this place. This temple is located at northern portion of Nainital. 

Sattal : Sattal is a popular lake and a popular picnic spot  with seven lakes each in a different color of green and blue. 

Bhimtal : Bhimtal is a small town and Nagar panchayet in Nainital. It located 22 km away from Nainital. Tourist from all over India come to this stunning place to spend some time at the Bhimtal Lake. 

The Mall Road : One of the famous highlights of Nainital is The Mall Road which was built during British Period. There are a number of shops, hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. 

Tiffin Top : The most scenic beauty of Nainital, Tiffin Top is located at a altitude of 2,290 mt (approx ) in the Ayarpatta Hills. This spot is famous as a picnic spot and known as 'Dorothy's Seat'. 

St. Johns Church :  This church is located north-end of Nainital. It was established by Daniel Wilson,  the Bishop of Calcutta in 1844. 

Other important places are, Pashan Devi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, Gurney House, Guano Hills, Sariyatal, Autumn Festival, PhoolDeli, Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary, Pangot and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary etc.

By Bus :  The city has well connectivity with North India by bus service. Several tour service providers can give you the facility of Bus service from New Delhi to Nainital. There are also the variety of bus services of  AC/NON AC/Luxery/ Volvo buses.
