Golconda fort is located at Ibrahim Bagh,11 km from Hyderabad. The fort is 400 year old approximately and one of the rich culture heritage site of the World. Golconda also known as "Shepherd's Hill". This UNESCO Heritage site was originally founded by the Kakatiyas in the 13th century. But the fort was expanded by Qutb Shahi kings. This fort has a large collection of amazing things like, Fateh Darwaza (means Victory Gate), A variety of architectural marvels at Golconda. You have to visit the place two days otherwise you can not properly feel and visit the beauty of the fort.

One can visit the fort throughout the year but the best time is winter season (September to March)when the weather is quite pleasant and you feel very fresh.
