Journey To Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal known as "Crown Of Palaces" located on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Agra. It was constructed by Mughal Samrat Shah Jahan as a tomb of his favourite wife Begum Mumtaz in 1631. The most spectacular feature is the marble dome that surmounts the tomb.

For this purposes  it is the attraction of all tourists. UNESCO documented more than 2 million visitors in 2001.

 Every day 6 a.m to 6 p.m. ( Friday Closed)

Visiting Duration:

2-3 hours.

Entry Fee:

For Indians-20/-  per person
For Foreigners-750/- per person
No entry fee for childrens below the age of 15.

How To Reach:

 

By Air:

The nearest airport is Kheria which located at a distance of 13 km from Agra. Many flights are available from here to other places of India. It is also connected with outside of India. After Reach the airport many taxies are available to reach Taj Mahal.

 By Train:

Agra  is located such place which well connected with Delhi-Bombay and Delhi-Chennai route. By train Agra is well connected with Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior and Jhansi. It is also connected with other major cities of India like, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai.There are five railway stations in Agra - Agra Cantt Station , Agra Fort Railway Station, Raja ki Mandi, Agra City and Idgah Railway Station. After reach the station you can hire a pre-paid taxi, auto rickshaw or even a cycle rickshawto reach the place.

By Bus:

Agra has two major interstate bus terminals called Idgah Bus Stand and ISBT  Bus Stand.  Agra is well connected by bus to cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, Lucknow and Kanpur. There are many buses are available between this places.
