Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in Maharashtra, India. It is 1,372 meter high from the sea level. Mahabaleshwar is a sanskrit word, which means 'God Of Great Power'. The word 'Mahabaleshwar' coming from 'Mahabali'. There is a temple which was dedicated to lord Mahabali, which known as Mahabaleshwar temple. Mahabaleshwar is famous for its breathtaking valleys, soaring peaks, crisp mountain air and lush flora. Mahabaleshwar tourism is famous for this prominent hill stations in Maharashtra. 

Best Time To Visit :

Best time to visit the place is September to March. Because in this months there many festival are held mainly Strawberry festival and Ganesh Chaturthi.

4. Pratapgarh Fort - This fort is built by Chhatrapati Shivaji in 1656. It is located in Mahabaleshwar. This fort offers the exhilarating and excellent views of the Konkon valley.

5. Venna Lake - The lake is located 2 km from ST bus stand and most popular tourist spots in Mahabaleshwar. This is famous for fishing, boating, and little horse riding.

By Air -   Mahabaleshwar does not have any airport. Nearest airport is located in Pune ( Lohegaon Airport), which is 120 km away from the main city. Next nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji airport, 151 km away located in Maharashtra. After reach the airport  take a taxi to reach your destination place. 

By Train -  The nearest railway station is While Wather which is 60 km from  Mahabaleshwar. From this station many trains are available to other cities. Second nearest railway station is Pune. From the station private tour operators provide buses, mini- buses, taxis etc.
