How To Reach Mussoorie

Mussoorie is a small hill station, located in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. It exactly located in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan ranges, which is also known as 'Queen of the Hills'. It is a 'fairy land' atmosphere to tourist only for snow ranges to the north-east land glittering views of the Doon Valley. Actually, Mussoorie name was coming from the word 'mansoor'. This hill station located at a distance of 35 km from Dehradun. Mussoorie is famous for not only scenario beauty but also important center for Business and Education.  Mussoorie also famous as the gateway to Yamunotri and Ganggotri.

How To Reach:


The hill stations is located such a place which is well connected with major cities of India by many way.

By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport( Dehradun Airport) which is 60 km  away from Mussoorie and connected with many cities of India. The nearest International airport is Delhi. People from outside of India may visit this place through this International airport. From here many flights are available, like- Jet Airways, Spicejet, Air India etc. After reach the station you can hire a taxi or rickshaw.

By Rail:  There are no any direct train from Mussoorie. So, to reach this place you have to reach Dehradun station at first. This station approximately 35 km from Mussoorie. Several super fast trains are available from Dehradun station like, Dehradun Express, Shatabdi Express, Amritsar Fast Passenger, Ujjain Express, Janta Express, Mussoorie Express, Mumbai Express, Howrah Express, Indore Express, Gorakhpur Express etc. After reach the station,  you can either option for bus or taxi to reach the beautiful place.

By Road: Mussoorie is well connected with other major cities of India like- Delhi, Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh by Bus services. Ticket price may depends on distance and travel facilities. Otherwise you can also hire a taxi from your place, but there is a problem. Example- from Delhi a taxi driver can charge a large amount of money to cover at a distance of 290 km (approximately). So, don't waste your time and money, choose a better option to reach place.
