NH66 connects Goa to Mumbai and Mangalore, NH-4A connects Panaji to Belgaum, Bangalore and Kolhapur. But traveling by Bus or private vehicle it will be more costlier, so my advice is to reach here by train or flight.

Nalanda is a large Buddhist monastery in the famous kingdom of Magadha in India. It is a famous Institution of learning Vedic culture. Nalanda means 'giver of knowledge'. Not only Gautama Budhha but also Mahavira stayed at Nalanda during the rainy season. Nalanda University was established during the Gupta period and it is 80 km away from Patna.

Well-maintained national highways and NH 28 (via Harlalka Road) and NH2 lead to Varanasi from Lucknow, the journey can take around 6 to 7 hours.
