How To Reach Ooty

The famous tourist spot -Ooty is located in Tamil Nadu,India. The word 'Udhagamandalam' which later was converted into the word 'Ootacamund'. It is the queen of hill station's, which also known as 'Blue Mountains'. It is surrounded by four majestic hills-Dodabetta, Elk Hill, Snowden and Club Hill. While you will visiting here, also come across many eucalyptus trenches. The funnel shaped blossoms covering the hills and the lavender-blue flowers spread over the mountain will pack you with some beautiful memories for a lifetime.

Main Attractions Of Ooty:

1) Botanical Gardens:- The garden is located at the slopes of the Dodabetta peak.

2) Tea Factory:- The factory can attracts you when you visit it. Its smell is very nice. It is also a very good place to show to the kids as well.

3) Dodabetta Peak:- This peak stands at a height of around 8,650 feet and makes it highest peak in south India.

4) Mariamman Temple:- In this temple there are variety of  various statue figures and sculptures.

5) Deer Park:- Here you can find a variety of different deer.

6) Ooty Lake:- This is a man made lake formed in 1824 by the Britishers. It is famous for hosting boat races during summer season.

7) St. Stephens Church:- This is one of the oldest Churches in the Nilgiri's district in Tamil Nadu.

8) Tribal Museum:- It can be visited the the peoples who like to know about tribal culture and inhabitants.

9) Pykara River:- It is also known as sacred place for the toda people, famous for shola trees, Toda settlements and wildlife.

10) Ooty Mountain Railway:- It is a UNESCO World heritage site, built in 1908 by Britishers. The trains are using traditional steam engine.

Best Time To Visit :

The best time to visit Ooty is November and March. However you can also  visit the place during all the months in a year but during mentioned months by hill station remains a bit crowded.


How To Reach:

By Air:- The nearest airport is in Coimbatore which located 100 km away from the Hill station.  You can catch direct flights for many important cities of India like- Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai. After reach the station you can easily hire a taxi a taxi or local vehicle to reach your destination place.

By Rail:- Nearest railway station is Mettupalyam, which located 40 km from Ooty. There are trains from- Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Mysore.

By Bus:- Ooty is a major tourist attraction in south India. You can get many govt buses from here. If you can spend extra money you can also get luxury buses from here.

How To Reach Sandakphu In Darjeeling

Sandakphu (altitude-3636 mts) is the highest peak in the West Bengal. Sandakphu means 'Height of the Poison Plant'.It is the highest point of Singalila Ridge in Darjeeling. It is mainly located in Singalila National Park. For many reasons this peak is famous. At first, there are four highest peaks in the World (Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu) which can be easily seen from its summit. From this peak, the view of the mountain Kanchenjunga is looking awesome, which known as the Sleeping Buddha of the Sleeping Shiva. Sandakphu is best place for adventure seekers photo fanatics and obviously nature lovers.

The nearest Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri which connects the city with other mojor cities of the country. There are many train s are available from here, like- Kolkata,Delhi,Chennai,Mumbai,Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar and Kochi. From here you can easily take the enjoyment of Toy Train.

By Bus:
There are regular bus service from Siliguri to Darjeeling. But according to me bus service is not quite comfortable and also costlier. So, my suggestion is to reach the place either train or flight.

By Taxi or Jeep:
Siliguri is the popular town which connected with mojor routes of India. The most popular transport is available to Darjeeling is Taxi ( shared by 4 passengers) or Jeep( shared by 10 passengers). If you reach the NJP railway station you can easily hire a taxi or a jeep to reach Darjeeling.

Rishikesh is a holy place located in Dehradun district of the Indian state, Uttarakhand. By  Train:  Nearest railway Station is Haridwar Railway Station(35 km). Journey To Qutb Minar

Qutb Minar is the tallest brick minarety in the world located in Mehruli area( Delhi), India. This  tower is UNESCO Worlds heritage site,  its hight 240 feet made by red sandstone and marble. Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate started construction of the Qutub Minar in 1200 CE.Qutb Minar is a famous place which surrounded by many significant historical monuments, like- the Iron Pillar of Delhi , Alai Darwaza, Alai Minar, Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the Tomb of Iltutmish,  Ala-ud-din's Madrasa and Tomb of Imam Zamin.

Journey To Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal known as "Crown Of Palaces" located on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Agra. It was constructed by Mughal Samrat Shah Jahan as a tomb of his favourite wife Begum Mumtaz in 1631. The most spectacular feature is the marble dome that surmounts the tomb.

How To Reach Red Fort

The Red Fort is a palace which  was resident of Mughals emperor. Actually The Red Fort coming from two words, "Red" means "Lal" and "Fort" means "Qila". It was constructed in center of Delhi by  the fifth Mughal EmperorShah Jahan ( 1648). Its name Red Fort for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone. On Independence Day our Prime Minister hoist the National Flag at the main gate of the Fort and delivers some speech of Nationally Broadcast.

Journey To Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is the main attraction of Jaipur. The structure was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. It has 953 windows which called Jharokhas. For the Jharokhas, the palace is called Hawa Mahal (Air Palace). The structure of this palace is five-storey pyramidal shape. So, this palace can be a nice tourist spot for all of you if you interested to visit here.
